The Kansas City Chiefs got off to an impressive start against the Green Bay Packers during their final preseason game, leading the so-called NFC North favorites 14-3 at halftime. However, it’s not the score that is important, but how the offense practiced the no-huddle offense during the first half. (more…)

By now, everyone knows (or knew this was coming) that Brett Favre has officially returned to the Minnesota Vikings for his 20th NFL season. During his press conference on Wednesday, Favre described the hardest hit he received last year—a tackle by inside linebacker Corey Mays during the Vikings third preseason game against the Kansas City Chiefs. In perhaps one of the strangest stories I’ve read in a long time, Kansas City Chiefs WR Chris Chambers has wed a woman he had arrested! Mediatakeout.com is reporting that Chambers began cheating on his wife with a woman named Stacey Saunders, his wife eventually found out and he stopped seeing Saunders. Saunders then began stalking Chambers and his family. Chambers had her arrested and she was charged with 11 counts of stalking.

Chambers eventually left his wife and now has wed this crazy woman. Chambers better be careful, because if Dwayne Bowe’s earlier accusations that the Chiefs were importing women to hotel rooms during away games are true, his new mentally unstable bride might just go Fatal Attraction on him.

Are the Kansas City Chiefs for real in 2010? Yes, the Chiefs have been one of the benchmarks for futility in the NFL over the past few seasons winning only 10 games in the past three years. I happen to think the Chiefs have the pieces in place to finally field a team which has success on the gridiron. I am not alone in this feeling. Clark Judge from CBS sports writes a glowing piece on the Chiefs after visiting training camp. Check out the story right here.

The Chiefs had to alter their training camp plans due to excessive heat. Local area heat indexes were well over 100 degrees on Monday. Kansas City moved their scheduled afternoon practices to the evening.

Chiefs offensive coordinator Charlie Weis has been having difficulty getting around training camp. When he’s been spotted, he’s walking with a cane or riding in a motorized scooter. It seems that Weis has had a piece of his knee break off and he will be having surgery after the 2010 season is over.

Chiefs RB Dexter McCluster is quickly gaining a reputation at training camp. He has now broken three pairs of cleats while making his cuts. His cuts are so drastic that the stitching on the shoes is tearing.
